Careers

Small team. Very high bar.

We hire rarely and carefully. When we do, it's for people who'd rather do a few things properly than a lot of things quickly, and who don't need to be asked twice to check their own work.

How we work

Read this before the roles.

Evidence over opinion

Arguments here end when someone goes and checks, not when the senior person speaks. Realising you were wrong halfway through and saying so is just how it works. Nobody scores points for it either way.

We ship, then we prove it

Compiling isn't done. Done is when you've run it against something real and written down what happened. "It should work" isn't a status update.

Depth over breadth

We'd rather do a handful of things to a level that's hard to match. If you enjoy finishing things more than starting them, you'll feel at home.

Remote, in European hours

We're Irish and work across the EU and India. Where you sit doesn't matter. Whether your hours overlap ours does. You'll write more here than you would in an office.

Roles

The people we always want to hear from

Nothing is formally open this minute. But we hire when we meet the right person rather than when a quarter starts, and these are the shapes we keep an eye out for. If one of them is you, don't wait for a posting. Worth checking back here too, things move fast once we do start looking.

Senior Product Engineer

Remote · EU hours

End to end work across mobile and backend. You'd own things from the data model to the pixel, and you'd be the one who checks it against production rather than handing it on for someone else to find the problem.

Applied AI Engineer

Remote · EU hours

Building systems where the model is boxed in by maths it can't argue with. Prompt architecture, output validation, fact-checking, evaluation harnesses. Good fit if "make the model unable to be wrong" sounds like a better problem than "make the model bigger".

Computational Engineer

Remote · EU hours

Numerical correctness. Ephemeris and astronomical calculation, validation against outside reference data, precision and the awkward edge cases. Suits the person who notices the discrepancy in the fourth decimal place and can't let it go.

Product Designer

Remote · EU hours

Interfaces that stay calm while carrying a lot of information. Typography led. You'll be asked to take things out far more often than to put things in.

Something we haven't thought of

Remote · Any discipline

If you're excellent at something not on this list, tell us what it is and what you'd do with it here. Some of the best hires anywhere start exactly like that.

A paragraph about something you built and why it was hard beats a CV every time. We read everything and reply to anyone who writes a real message. Equal opportunity employer, everyone's welcome here.
